Netflix announced the making of Edha (13×60), their first original series filmed entirely in Argentina. It will be under the responsibility of the acclaimed film and TV director, Daniel Burman (El Abrazo Partido, El Rey del Once, Supermax). It was written by Daniel Burman, Mario Segade and the team of writers at Oficina Burman. They will start shooting at the beginning of 2017 and will follow the life of Edha, a successful young fashion designer and single mother who finds herself at a crossroads that will forever change her life. As she deals with making the decision that will lead her to another level in the world of fashion, she meets an immigrant turned into a model. Unleashed passion will be mixed with a profound desire for revenge. Netflixs invitation to create their first original series in Argentina is the greatest opportunity Ive had in my career. With a strong local identity, we are creating a project that seeks to connect with a global audience. On a single platform, more than 81 million users will have the opportunity to establish an intimate connection with our history, said Daniel Burman, creator, director and showrunner. The worlds of fashion and music in Buenos Aires are unique, sensual and very interesting and Daniel Burman and his team are some of the most talented creators in Argentina, added Erik Barmack, VP Head of International Originals, Netflix.
